Today I want to talk about faith. Faith is something that the bible talks about many times. No matter how a situation looks or life is faith is the guaranteed insurance of the things we've been asking for. The thing with faith is you can not have doubt in your heart. You have to pray and believe that everything already done. So many people thing you have to have this huge faith, but that's wrong. the Bible says that faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain. Todays main scripture is from Mark 11:22-24.
"22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
I love this scripture because it talks about true faith can move a mountain. Not a literature mountain, it's a hyperbole. We all have mountains in our life that cause us to feel defeated. Here's how we can move those mountains and get over these hills in life: Have faith, pray and believe!
Now don't get it twisted, faith is not a blank check that god just signs. There are some things you have to do and have in order to get your prayers answered. Mark 11:25-26 says, "25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses." This is super important because you can't pray and ask God to remove mountains without forgiving others around you. Think about it like this, if God can forgive us for all the things we continuously do to disappoint him, who are we to not forgive the people who have wronged us. How is it that we want God to move all these challenges around us but wont deal with the mountains of forgiveness we have on our heart.
